Headstrong is involved with UCT Rugby on two fronts. Our team is involved in the u19 High Performance Programme as well as being involved on the coaching staff as Sport Psychology and Skills Experts for the UCT u20 Trojans team who currently compete in the FNB Young Guns Varsity Cup. In 2012 UCT Rugby created a u19 High Performance Programme. The idea behind this High Performance Programme is to help young players in making a successful transition into club and university level rugby after leaving school boy level rugby. The transition is a tough one to make and in most cases the players need a little guidance with regard to skills, conditioning and sport psychology. Headstrong has come on board with UCT to work alongside the players of the Trojans and the u19 High Performance Programme with contributions from our Conditioning, Skills, and Sport & Performance Psychology Divisions. In addition to this our team assists with the management of the High Performance Programme. Headstrong meets with the players as a group on a regular basis as well as providing individual and private assistance with some of the athletes.
